Thank you for helping us make Parent Talk the best it can be for our members!
Parent Talk aims to play an active role in the communities our members call home. There are numerous ways to get involved both within the organization and in the broader community.
Through family volunteering programs, parents have a vehicle to begin introducing concepts of ‘contributing,’ ‘giving back,’ and ‘charity’ to their children. Together families are experiencing what it means to help others who are less fortunate, to become active members of the community, and to work to save our planet.
Over the years, Parent Talk’s community involvement has included both volunteer and development support for numerous community programs. From developing local playgrounds like Perry Park and Mills Field in Needham, to sponsoring an area summer family theatre series. The list goes on – and it’s all thanks to the efforts of our dedicated members, volunteers, donors, and sponsors.
Used Clothing, Toy, and Equipment Sale
Open to the entire community, Parent Talk’s Used Clothing, Toy & Equipment Sale is a grand-scale consignment sale. Featuring bargain-priced, high-quality used items for children age zero to eight, The Sale draws hundreds of shoppers from the Boston area. In addition to serving as Parent Talk’s largest fundraiser, all unsold items are donated to several local charities including Chelsea Community Closet, Circle of Hope, Lynn Women’s Health, and First Parish Church.
And finally, with ALL of this in mind, Parent Talk members have numerous ways to volunteer with the organization. Take a look at our current open positons.
