Practical Approaches to Anxiety in Children

Charles River SChool’s Parent Association is excited to present Dr. Kimberly O’Brien talking about “Practical Approaches to Anxiety in Children” on Tuesday, January 28 at 7:00 pm at Charles River School
Dr. Kimberly O’Brien is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, a Clinician and Research Scientist at Boston Children’s Hospital, and the School Counselor at Charles River School. Dr. O’Brien has 14 years of experience as a licensed clinician serving youth and families, as well as extensive graduate teaching expertise in mental health and substance use. She has published over 40 research articles and has been funded by the National Institute of Health to develop and test interventions for suicidal teens who use substances, as well as innovative suicide risk assessment training programs for professionals. She will speak about anxiety in children, including what anxiety looks like, practical approaches parents can take, and when/how to seek additional resources to address it.
