Community Involvement

Parent Talk connects our members with community organizations by sharing information about upcoming community events, community service opportunities, and other pertinent information. The following outlines Parent Talk’s policy and process for disseminating community information to its members.

Community Events

We encourage community organizations to submit events that may be of interest to young families or parents with young children to our online calendar. To submit an event, send an email to communitynews@parenttalk.org.

Community Service Initiatives

Parent Talk is delighted to share volunteer opportunities that may be of interest to families with young children. To suggest a community service opportunity, send an email to communityrelations@parenttalk.org.

Information Dissemination

We invite community organizations and town officials to share information that is relevant to families with young children. Information must meet the criteria below. To submit information, send an email to president@parenttalk.org.

Parent Talk will share with its members:

  • Information generated by town officers and administrators as official town business
  • Dates, times, and locations of public forums
  • Non-political information from community organizations

Parent Talk is not a political organization and cannot share:

  • Political opinions
  • Information sponsored and/or created by special interest groups

In addition, Parent Talk is not able to endorse political candidates.

Posting and sharing content with our community of members is at Parent Talk’s sole discretion and as space permits.
